Spencer Schar holds an MBA from the University of Central Florida and has recently moved to Denver, Colorado to pursue further higher education studies and explore new opportunities in the world of real estate development. To this end, Mr. Schar is set to commence study for a dual master’s in finance and economics at the University of Colorado Denver.
Colorado is very different from Florida, Mr. Schar’s former home, in terms of real estate development planning, regulations, and culture, with factors such as water rights and terrain having a much more significant impact on development. Despite this move, Mr. Schar remains involved with DCS Real Estate Investments and The Club at Bella Collina, as a strategic advisor and operations manager respectively. In his role at Bella Collina, Mr. Schar assists the general manager with day-to-day decision-making, sets the pricing structure for all business operations, and sits on the Architectural Control Board that represents the entire 1,900-acre community. He also represents the owner’s interests in all matters concerning the community and guides the marketing and branding efforts for Bella Collina as a whole. Mr. Schar is looking forward to the opportunities for hiking offered by the nearby Front Range mountains, which rise almost 10,000 feet above the Great Plains. As well as hiking, the mountains are a popular spot for mountain biking, camping, and climbing in the warmer months, and snowboarding and skiing in the winter. The most popular peak in the range, Pikes Peak, attracts around half a million tourists every year – making it the most visited mountain in the whole of North America. |
